The iOS jailbreak community has been swarming with developments, releases, and updates and the jailbreak fans are going crazy with all these happening so close to each other. The first major news had come around the WWDC 2015 when the iOS 9 was revealed to the world. At this point, the Pangu Team had reportedly said that they would be working on the much-awaited and much-needed iOS 8.3 jailbreak, while the TaiG team was to work on the iOS 9 jailbreak under the Pangu Team’s guidance. The iOS 9 jailbreak was to come out after the September public release of iOS 9, so we were sure about not hearing from the TaiG Team before that, until the iOS 8.3 jailbreak was released.
25 PP Released the iOS 8.4 Jailbreak Tool
TaiG did surprise us when it came out with its TaiG 2.x jailbreak tool for the iOS 8.3 , which was the latest public firmware until the iOS 8.4 was released today. But it wasn’t even a day after the TaiG release that another similar (read clone) iOS 8.3 jailbreak came out in the field. It was released by 25 PP and was surprisingly and almost completely the same as the TaiG tool, and the TaiG team accused 25 PP for stealing their work without their permission. And as if that was not enough, PP Assistant or 25PP went ahead and updated the tool to support iOS 8.4 ! Yes, the iOS 8.4 has just freshly arrived and the jailbreak is already ready for it.
Well, all that can be said about the tool is that the activities of 25 PP are very weird, as they are following the TaiG tool and have released the iOS 8.4 support for their TaiG clone even before the TaiG team could do it. The TaiG team has not yet commented on the release of this 25 PP jailbreak for iOS 8.4. Moreover, they have not yet made it clear whether their TaiG 2.1.3 jailbreak tool for iOS 8.3 will work on iOS 8.4 or not. Regardless of the doubt, many people over the internet are claiming that the TaiG tool is indeed working with iOS 8.4 with a few complex hex edits, but these reports are unfounded and just rumors, so we cannot comment on their authenticity until the TaiG team decides to speak up on the matter themselves.
