TinyUmbrella is one of the most popular apps for jailbreakers ever released. Right now, it will only work on iOS 9 or earlier but it is currently being updated to support the newer iOS versions. For those that have never come across it before, TinyUmbrella is a tool that allows you to save your SHSH blobs whenever you update your firmware and then allows you to downgrade back to a firmware that is no longer being signed. This is especially useful for people who update beyond a jailbreak and want to get back to an iOS version that can be jailbroken.

For TinyUmbrella [ext link] to work, you must save your SHSH blobs every time you update your firmware. It will only work on those iOS versions that are still being signed by Apple so, if you don’t save the SHSH blobs at the time, you cannot then do it later if that version is no longer being signed. When you save your SHSH blobs, they are turned into an IPSW which is already signed, meaning that you would be able to use that IPSW whenever you wanted, as often as you wanted, to downgrade your iOS device.
Be aware that, at this moment in time, TinyUmbrella will NOT allow you to downgrade your device but it can still be used to save SHSH blobs. While we wait for the update that will see the tool working fully again, it is advisable to save your blobs regularly so that, when the time comes you will be able to downgrade to whichever firmware version you want.
