With iOS 10 now in use on millions of devices, it is no surprise that Apple is releasing regular updates. We expect bugs to occur with a major release and the updates are required to get everything working on as many devices as possible. iOS 10.1 is now in beta and that will be the next major release, bringing features to enhance the dual camera system on the iPhone 7 Plus, as well as a few other features.

Can we Jailbreak iOS 10.0.3 ?
Not at this moment in time. Taig and Pangu are currently hard at work examining every iOS 10 release, including the iOS 10.1 download [ beta ], looking for the vulnerabilities that can be used in a jailbreak. We already know that iOS 10 and iOS 10.0.2 jailbreak [ext link] has been achieved but not with a utility that the public can use. Luca Todesco, Italian iOS hacker and developer, installed a jailbreak on an iPad on iOS 10 and an iPhone 7 on iOS 10.0.2 but, as the jailbreaks are part of his security research work, they will be kept for his own personal benefit, not ours.

There is the matter of time to take into account. It takes quite a long time to produce a jailbreak that will work on the vast majority of iOS devices, not just one or two and, with the speed at which Apple is releasing the updates, in all likelihood any jailbreak they produce will be very quickly patched up. While we can only hope that they produce a jailbreak for iOS 10.0.3 in due course, there is every possibility that we will, in fact, be waiting a bit longer.
iOS 10.0.3 Jailbreak Release Date :
With iOS 10.1 in beta and containing significant features, Taig and Pangu are quite possibly going to wait until that is released before they produce a jailbreak, or, at the very least take a look at whether any of the earlier vulnerabilities are patched in it. Only when they have done that can they determine if they can produce an iOS 10.0.3 jailbreak or if it is best to wait until iOS 10.1 is released, likely to be later on this month.
At this moment, all we can advise is, if you haven’t updated and want to preserve your current jailbreak, stay put and don’t hit the update button.
